One goal in designing the App is to help us develop even better web and mobile tools to help people quit smoking. To further that goal, we collect data about your use of the App (e.g., number and frequency of visits, things that you like and share, etc.). When you install the App, we also save all of the information that you may authorize through the Google Play Store or iTunes Store. If you choose to use your TiQ account together with third party applications (e.g., Tumblr or Twitter), we save any information you make available to us through such applications. In addition, when you use the App, we may collect or generate information that uniquely identifies your device or computer for the purpose of collecting data about your use of the App.
Data collected from the App is used for public health and research purposes to help us build better tools for quitting smoking. We share your information only with our own contractors, vendors, or agents who will only use it for the same purposes. Your information will not be released to the public without your consent, except in limited circumstances, as may be necessary to comply with legal processes, or to prevent fraud or imminent harm. We will never sell your personal information or make it available in any commercial use. If you sign up to receive emails and text messages from us, we will use your information only to send you messages you have opted to receive.
We may share with other third-party research partners or sponsoring organizations certain aggregated, de-identified data collected from App users without their consent. Such information will not include any personally identifiable information such as email, username(s) or device ID.
We take appropriate measures that are in line with industry standards to protect against unauthorized access to or disclosure or destruction of our user’s data.
